Ive been saving this headboard for a long time with the idea of making a bench of some kind out of it. Not long ago, I began falling in love with yarn couching and the idea to have a regal peacock draped across the back and seat was born. This piece will eventually be sold, after exhibit at Quilt Odyssey, 2018 and AQS Lancaster 2019 in special exhibits featuring my work. The upholstery is quilted pearlized vinyl and the yarns represent a variety of artisan yarns including silk, wool, alpaca and others.
