This is my second classic wholecloth quilt. It was inspired by a combination of an Art Nouveau drawing of a peacock as well as by a henna peacock tattoo and the rich sari fabrics of India. The design is completely original, with the peacocks drawn to resemble the paisleys that inspired them. The unique edge treatment is a flange of fabric, hand stuffed with beads that were individually tied off layered with miniature quilted tabs.
