I am thoroughly enjoying yarn couching as an expressive medium!  In this project I created a yarn couching applique with amazing artisan yarns from my local independent yarn shop (Conversational Threads in Emmaus, PA).  This was done on wash away stabilizer and tulle, and if you are interested in a process explanation, go to my blog post.  For now, I loved wearing my trench coat to the closing night of The Little Mermaid, my daughters middle school musical, for which I was the set designer.  I suppose as an artist, I get a pass on dressing with eccentricity, which is good, since I plan on wearing this A LOT!
