Lorie Quinn...What can I say about Bethanne Nemesh?  One of the best teachers I’ve ever come across.  I took her Breaking Boundaries workshop and was amazed and delighted in the attention to detail in her teaching — the way she is able to break things down in manageable chunks that build with every class.  The shear amount of thought and time she puts into her classes is incredible and is worth far, far more than the price she charges.  She was always available to answer questions or help with problems and that in itself is worth the price of admission!  I was trepidatious at first, but I can say that the amount of information, knowledge and material that I received far exceeds the price of the class.  It is an absolute bargain.  Bethanne is a delightful person, a wonderful teacher, an amazing artist and I can’t wait to take her next class.  Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!

Karin Vorrath…I loved the class. Never had done any improvisational piecing before but was able to follow along with the pre-recorded class. What impressed me was Behanne’s attention to detail and the well thought out step by step approach which ensured that each project turned out fabulous.
The filler designs were well organised and discussed in a lot of detail. As I am at the other end of the world, I watched most of the classes using Teachable and sometimes on FB after the live event. No problem with either. The set up Bethanne has in place allows for easy watching and was very reliable. There were of course too many designs to mention but if you concentrate on a number of designs you like and practice them you will find that even as a beginner you will be able to stitch the designs. What I also liked were the discussions about design and Bethanne’s gentle nudging to make a design your own.
And lastly, feedback was always prompt and highly relevant…you are definitely going to be extended and will grow as a FMQ student.
Overall, a great experience and highly recommended.

Carol Watson…I would highly recommend your class to anyone, the quality of the class material, presentation of the class and also the camera work involved it is like having one to one tuition with yourself.  Being able to also access the class on the teachable platform is a bonus and the way it is broken down into segments so you can concentrate on each part.  This type of tuition gives people all over the world the opportunity to learn different aspects of quilting from beginners to the advanced.

Diane Gilleran…Bethanne is a gifted teacher! Throughout this class, I’ve learned to confidently curve cut and piece with minimal pinning, use innovative quilting to help tell the story of the quilt and add beautiful texture!

Qurrat Thakur…I would highly recommend this class for anyone wanting to expand their repertoire of quilting motifs. Not only do you learn 100s of different motifs, but Bethanne also helps you understand how and when to use them for maximum impact.  I am a pretty accomplished free motion quilter but I can honestly say that this class is the best investment I have made in my quilting journey.  Bethanne breaks down how to sew the textures with as minimal of backtracking as possible. Then she goes over how to seamlessly move from one motif to another using bridging techniques.  My quilting vocabulary has expanded greatly.  I also appreciate that I have access to all her videos and instructions forever.

Joan Hett…Thank you so much for an amazing class. My confidence to tackle these types of projects has increased significantly. You have taken what appear to be complex textural designs and, using a systematic, step by step process made this technique available to and achievable by the entire class! You have presented your many designs in a way that is organized and creative. In addition to that you created an atmosphere of positivity and combined it with a sense of humour that energized the class to try just about anything. Top notch technology made learning from home easy. Well done!

Phyllis Coppolino… This class was one of the most enjoyable quilting experiences I have ever had. Bethanne’s teaching style breaks each detail of process and making each design part of a “system”, so no matter how complex, it all make sense in the end, and I feel I am empowered to improvise with the same system and make new, unique things.  Bethanne’s detailed prep work gives her students a fantastic journey!

Laura Gates…I’m currently taking your breaking boundaries class and loving it!  This is the best set of classes I’ve ever taken – you’ve given me the confidence and tool box of ideas to try new things.  Thank you!

Lorri WurtzlerI am thoroughly enjoying taking the Breaking Boundaries Free Motion quilting class.  Being a teacher myself I have high standards for a great teacher and Bethanne hits that mark.  Bethanne really understands the software she uses and presents well in the online teaching environment.  Bethanne has completely thought out the teaching agenda from starting us with a quilt idea/pattern so that we are all starting from the same place.  Then breaks down each session with quilting designs that are similar and provides handouts to support each lesson.  She provides tips and tricks all along the way that shows me she is listening and responding to all her students questions.  I love her attention to all the details and can’t wait to see what class is next.

Sharon Lafler… Bethanne’s generosity in answering questions made the class an extraordinary education, all the way from getting started with broad quilting design to wonderful detailed backfill ideas.  Most helpful was that I feel I came away with the “bones” to begin building my own design vision and repertory.

Shelly DeHay-Turner…This is my second class that I have taken with Bethanne and I could not be more impressed.  Bethanne is a teacher extraordinaire.  Her ability to breakdown various designs into achievable quilting components is nothing short of magical.  She is a generous and knowledgeable instructor who goes the extra mile to ensure all her students, regardless of skill level,  are comfortable and confident in their learning journey. I now have a repertoire of highly creative background and transitioning fills that I use frequently and with the greatest of confidence. I highly recommend Bethanne’s classes and I am sure you will be as impressed as all of us who have had the pleasure of being one of her many students!  Run…don’t walk to her next class!
